Apr 24 2016 // The Weakness Brag // 2 Corinthians 11:16-33
Our world understands only those ministries borne of strength. It is licensed doctors who care for the sick, trained psychologists who tend to the grieving, wealthy philanthropists who serve the poor. But the ministry of Christ is borne of weakness. And his ministers must learn to minister in it. The Apostle Paul was a man of great strengths, yet God nurtured him into weakness through suffering. And Paul embraced this weakness in both his life and ministry. He came to understand that his weakness was his greatest asset in loving people, his greatest qualification for pastoral care, his greatest boast for apostolic legitimacy. For it was only in his weakness, that Paul could offer Christ.
