Led to Lament // Remember Me and Visit Me // Jeremiah 15:10-21 // Nov 9 2014

The whole conviction of my life now rests upon the belief that loneliness, far from being a rare and curious phenomenon, peculiar to myself and to a few other solitary men, is the central and inevitable fact of human existence.
— Tom Wolfe

Offering God to people can be a lonely task. It was for Jeremiah in ancient Judah. It is often so for Christians today. The world does not want God and spurns the offer of him. But this rejection does not negate the value of such work. On the contrary, it is the purpose of it. God is leading his people into the life of his Son. And he invites us to pray the prayers of Jesus, even as did Jeremiah. Lord, remember me and visit me.
